Double Decker Express Trains of Indian Railways have high priority and among fast trains in India. Double Decker Express are fully air-conditioned two floor express trains. 1. Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Madgaon AC Double Decker Express

The 11085/11086 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Madgaon AC Double Decker Express was first introduced on 7 December 2015. As of 2015 it ran thrice a week. It is accommodated with latest stainless steel LHB Coaches. It links Mumbai and Madgaon, an important town in Goa. It covers the distance of 750 kilometres in 12 hours as 11085 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Madgaon AC Double Decker Express (47 km/hr) & 12 hours as 11086 Madgaon Lokmanya Tilak Terminus AC Double Decker Express (47 km/hr). With maximum speed of 100 km/hr.


2. Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Double Decker Express

The 12931/12932 Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Double Decker Express was first introduced on 19 September 2012. As of 2015 it ran once a day except Sundays. It covers the distance of 491 kilometres in 7 hours 20 mins as 12931 Mumbai Central Ahmedabad Double Decker Express (66.95 km/hr) & 7 hours as 12932 Ahmedabad Mumbai Central Double Decker Express (70.14 km/hr).


3. Chennai - Bangalore Double Decker Express

The 22625/22626 Chennai - Bangalore AC Double Decker Express is a superfast express connecting Indian cities Chennai and Bangalore. This is the first AC Double Decker train B/W Chennai Central and Bangalore City. This train uses LHB coaches. A WAP - 7 locomotive, one of the powerful locomotives of Indian Railways, is used to haul it.


4. Lucknow Junction - Anand Vihar Terminal Double Decker Express

The 12583/12584 Lucknow Junction - Anand Vihar Terminal Double Decker Express was first introduced on 26 April 2015. It is the ninth double decker train in India and is the first such service for the state of Uttar Pradesh. The train operates on a bi-weekly basis on Fridays and Sundays from both ends.


5. Jaipur - Delhi Sarai Rohilla AC Double Decker Express

The 12985/86 Jaipur Delhi Sarai Rohilla AC Double Decker Express is a superfast express train belonging to Indian Railways - North Western Railways Zone that runs between Jaipur Junction and Delhi Sarai Rohilla in India. This train covers the distance of 303 kilometers in 4 hours 30 mins (67.33 km/hr) in both directions.


6. Visakhapatnam - Tirupati Double Decker Express

The 22707/22708 Visakhapatnam Tirupati Double Decker is a superfast express train between Tirupati and Visakhapatnam. There are two more Double Decker Express in South India, Guntur Kacheguda Double Decker Express in Telengana and Kacheguda Tirupati Double Decker Express train of Andhra Pradesh.


7. Bhopal - Indore AC Double Decker Intercity Express

Bhopal - Indore AC Double Decker Express ( 22183 down / 22184 up ) is a superfast AC train service, connecting Bhopal to Indore, both within the state of Madhya Pradesh. It will cover 224 kilometres between Bhopal Habibganj and Indore Junction in around 4 hours.


8. Guntur - Kacheguda AC Double Decker Express

The Guntur - Kacheguda AC Double Decker Express was an Superfast Double Decker train belonging to South Central Railway zone that used to run between Guntur Junction and Kacheguda in India. It was operated with 22117/22118 train numbers on bi-weekly basis. The 22117/Guntur - Kacheguda AC Double Decker Express has averages speed of 56 km/hr and covers 287 km in 5h 10m. The 22118/Kacheguda - Guntur AC Double Decker Express has averages speed of 57 km/hr and covers 287 km in 5h 5m.


9. Mumbai - Surat Flying Ranee Double Decker Express

Flying Ranee Non AC Double Decker Express runs between Mumbai and Surat, was introduced in 1906. 12922 Flying Ranee covers the distance of 263 kilometres in 4 hours 40 minutes, based WAP 7 or WAP 5 locomotive.


10. Kacheguda - Tirupati Double Decker Express

The Kacheguda - Tirupati AC Double Decker Express is a superfast express connecting Hyderabad and Tirupati cities. It is the first AC Double Decker Express in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh alongside Guntur - Kacheguda AC Double Decker Express. It has CZDAC coaches (AC chair-car) and VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection with Alarm system), first of its kind, in a double-decker train.
